For details on topics such as how long you can hold items and more, please check out our FAQs here.
1. Keep All 'Rehomed' Items in the EcoTots Community. For items donated and priced at $0.00, EcoTots operates as a dedicated Collection and Returns Service, ensuring these items remain within our community. Once an item is 'Rehomed' through the marketplace, it becomes part of our shared community resources and cannot be sold or traded outside of EcoTots. Similar to a library system. Items should be returned when they are no longer needed—unless they are no longer in usable condition.
2. Rehome Items with Parents in Your Local Community. At EcoTots, we prioritise rehoming items within local areas to help build community connections, reduce carbon footprints from shipping, and make it easier for families to collect items. For those outside the local area, you’re welcome to request a courier pickup, but the member is asked to give priority to local parents for Collection Only. Let’s keep it simple, sustainable, and local!
3. Be Kind and Respectful. Treat others with kindness, respect, and consideration. We’re all running on caffeine and too little sleep, so a bit of kindness goes a long way in keeping our community thriving (and our sanity intact).
4. Verified Identity. By applying for an EcoTots membership, you agree to the collection and use of your personal data to verify your identity, manage your account, enhance your experience, and ensure the safety of our community. We are committed to safeguarding your information, which will be used exclusively for administrative purposes related to your membership. Your proof of ID will be destroyed as soon as your membership is confirmed.
5. Safety Assurance. List only items that are in good, safe, and reusable condition. Avoid listing prohibited items, such as car seats, and clothing that is highly flammable. Disclose any defects, damages, or wear and tear honestly. If an item is no longer usable or classified as unsafe, please send us a message with a photo, and we’ll promptly remove it from the database. For further details, please check out our FAQs here.
6. Quality Good Usable Condition ONLY. We do not accept low-quality items from brands like TEMU and SHEIN. Only items made from durable, high-quality materials or those in new condition are accepted.
7. Keep Your Listings Updated. If something is no longer available, please update your listing promptly to avoid confusion and follow our review process.
8. Timely Fulfilment. If you are a reseller and need to ship your items, please do so promptly within the agreed-upon time frame. Use reliable, trackable delivery methods to ensure items reach their new homes safely. Notify buyers immediately if any delays or issues arise.
9. Clean Items. Ensure your items are clean and well-presented. No one wants to receive something dirty!
10. Ethical Practices. Report anyone for dishonest practices, such as taking donated community items to sell elsewhere. Report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to marketplace administrators to help keep our community safe and trusted.
13. Payment Verification. For resellers, set up and verify your payment method with the platform to ensure smooth transactions and payouts.
